Candidates for a new planet in TESS sector 1

Search the 2-minute SPOC light curves of TESS sector 1 for periodic transits. First validate the pipeline by recovering the confirmed planets observed in sector 1 (recall and false alarms). Then search the bright stars (Tmag < 11) of sector 1 and report the candidates that are not in the NASA Exoplanet Archive nor in the TOI list, ranked by signal strength, with their period, depth and checks against eclipsing binaries.

  1. Iteration 1 · TESS Sector 1 2-min SPOC transit search: validation and new bright-star candidates

    Completed
    • Agent 1 · director

Detrend and run BLS/TLS on every Tmag<11 sector 1 SPOC light curve, validate blind on confirmed planets, cross-match against the NASA Exoplanet Archive and ExoFOP TOI, vet with odd/even, secondary-eclipse and centroid checks; exclude known planets and TOIs and single-transit events.
