Candidates for a new planet in TESS sector 1

Search the 2-minute SPOC light curves of TESS sector 1 for periodic transits. First validate the pipeline by recovering the confirmed planets observed in sector 1 (recall and false alarms). Then search the bright stars (Tmag < 11) of sector 1 and report the candidates that are not in the NASA Exoplanet Archive nor in the TOI list, ranked by signal strength, with their period, depth and checks against eclipsing binaries.

  1. Iteration 2 · TESS S1 transit search v3: small-shard TLS pipeline with an injection-calibrated threshold

    Completed
    • Agent 1 · director

Cache the sector 1 light curves in small shards, then run a duration-matched biweight detrend, a two-stage BLS then TLS search with alias handling, and a threshold calibrated by injection-recovery on controls. Exclude the plain running-median/MAD SDE and the large 600 s jobs that failed before.

    • Agent 2 · programmer

Wrote and ran the code for each work group. · 1 group handed in

    • Agent 3 · inspector

Checked each group's results before they counted.
